Pay Range: $23.50 - $26.50
SUMMARY
The Bakery Mixer Operator is responsible for preparing and mixing dough and batter according to established formulas and production schedules. This role ensures product consistency, quality, and food safety while supporting efficient upstream production for the commissary bakery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Accurately measure and scale ingredients according to formulas and production requirements
โ€ข Operate commercial mixing equipment to prepare doughs and batters to specification
โ€ข Monitor mixing times, speeds, and ingredient incorporation to ensure consistency and quality
โ€ข Adjust mixing processes as needed based on product type, batch size, and environmental conditions
โ€ข Inspect dough/batter for proper texture, consistency, and development before transferring to the next stage
โ€ข Follow production schedules to ensure timely flow of product to downstream operations
โ€ข Maintain proper documentation of batches, including ingredient tracking and production logs
โ€ข Follow all allergen control procedures, including proper ingredient handling, production sequencing, changeover practices, and cleaning verification to prevent cross-contact
โ€ข Follow all Food Safety Plan requirements, including Preventative Controls, sanitation environmental monitoring programs
โ€ข Clean and sanitize mixing equipment and work areas between batches and at end of shift
โ€ข Communicate any product inconsistencies, ingredient issues, or equipment concerns to leadership
โ€ข Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of machine guarding and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) when required
โ€ข Meet production targets for throughput, yield, and schedule adherence while minimizing waste and rework
