JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is the front line of Onsharp's B2B sales engine. This role is responsible for filling the top of the funnel, creating qualified opportunities, and partnering closely with the Business Development team to move deals forward. This person must demonstrate a deep understanding of clients' needs and effectively position Onsharp's products and services to meet those needs. The BDR proactively generates and qualifies leads, drives daily outreach, and focuses on progressing and closing opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead Generation + Prospecting
    • Proactively identify new target accounts and contacts through research, outbound calling, email, LinkedIn, events, and other campaigns.
    • Maintain a steady volume of new prospects entering the funnel to support revenue goals.
  • Outreach + Meeting Setting
    • Own day-to-day outreach activity (calls, emails, social touches) to engage decision-makers and influencers.
    • Secure and schedule qualified meetings for Outside Sales/BDMs, ensuring clear agendas and expectations.
    • Develop and implement effective B2B sales strategies to meet and exceed individual productivity and sales goals.
  • Lead Qualification
    • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against Onsharp's ideal client criteria.
    • Uncover basic needs, timelines, and budget indicators, and clearly document findings so the next step in the sales process is set up for success.
  • CRM Management
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of contacts, companies, activities, and opportunities in the CRM.
    • Log all outreach and qualification details so data is reliable for forecasting, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Sales Collaboration + Follow-Through
    • Partner with Outside Sales and Client Success Managers to hand off opportunities smoothly and support follow-up on active deals.
    • Share feedback from front-line conversations to help refine messaging, campaigns, and target profiles.

QUALIFICATIONS
