Job description

Position: Retail B2B Lead

Department: Fulfillment Warehouse

Report To: Retail Operations Manager

☐ Exempt ☒ Non-exempt

Job Summary:

The Retail B2B Lead plays a key role in overseeing and executing daily retail and wholesale fulfillment operations within the warehouse. Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, this position ensures that all retail/B2B orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with shipping guidelines and contractual requirements. The Retail B2B Lead manages order flow, monitors inventory availability, and partners with warehouse teams to maintain accurate stock levels and resolve discrepancies.

This role provides hands-on leadership by training and mentoring new hires, assigning tasks, and supporting team performance to meet operational priorities and deadlines. The Retail B2B Lead also performs administrative functions such as batching and waving orders, preparing ASNs, creating shipment documentation, and coordinating carrier pickups for LTL orders. Additionally, the position upholds safety, quality, and cleanliness standards to ensure a productive and compliant work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This lead role will be supporting new hire training/mentoring
  • Assist with administrative roles such as batching/waving orders, backorder investigation, and monitoring incoming orders, create checklists, labels and ASN to make sure all completed shipments are compliant with retail/wholesale shipping guidelines and/or contractual requirements.
  • Manages inventory needed to fulfill orders by working with the Warehouse Team to move inventory into pickable locations
  • Understanding of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory processes
  • Manage order flow to meet deadlines
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Works with Retail Operations Manager to ensure the top priorities are met and shipped out in a timely manner
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, provide training and guidance
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order, oversee the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and workstations
  • Schedules for pickup of LTL orders with carriers to arrive on time and by the required delivery dates
  • Creates and finalizes ASN
  • Providing completed paperwork to all stakeholders

Job Requirements:

  • Must be attentive to safety in the workplace and detail oriented regarding product, lot numbers, shipping method, labels, and quantities.
  • Proficient at multi-tasking, able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess organizational skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
  • Physical requirements may include standing for prolonged periods of time, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive motion.
  • Must be knowledgeable in basic math functions
  • Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) Oracle, NetSuite, or RF scanners
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, email, inventory systems)
  • Leading by example: This includes being a role model for employees, leading by example, and providing guidance and mentoring for team members.
