They also analyze market trends, set pricing strategies, and coordinate promotional activities. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are essential for this role.

What is an automotive sales manager?

An Automotive Sales Manager is responsible for supervising and motivating salespeople and promoting and encouraging strategies to sell cars and other vehicles. They perform typical manager duties, such as organizing schedules, training, interviewing, hiring, and setting goals. Their customer service skills must be excellent, and they are able to easily talk to anyone. These skills ensure the dealership meets sales targets, delivers excellent customer service, and maintains a competitive edge in the market.

How does an automotive sales manager typically collaborate with the service and finance departments to ensure a smooth customer experience?

An Automotive Sales Manager works closely with both the service and finance departments to streamline the customer journey. By coordinating with the finance team, the manager ensures that financing options and paperwork are handled efficiently for buyers. Job description

Luxury Automotive Sales Consultant | Grubbs Family of Dealerships
About Us

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is a multi-brand, family-owned automotive group with deep roots across the DFW Metroplex and the state of Texas. We’ve built our reputation on doing right by our customers and our people — and we’re looking for team members who share those values.

We invest in our people, provide real opportunities to grow, and take pride in the experience we deliver to both our customers and our team members. When you join Grubbs, you join a culture built on integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement. We set a high bar — and we give you the training, tools, and support to clear it.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a polished, customer-focused Luxury Automotive Sales Consultant to deliver an exceptional buying experience that matches the caliber of the brands we represent. This is your opportunity to build a loyal clientele, earn real money, and represent some of the most respected luxury vehicles in the industry. We expect more than transactions here — we expect relationships, referrals, and a reputation for excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the entire client experience from first contact through delivery and beyond, following a consultative, no-pressure process every single time
  • Respond to every lead — phone, internet, and walk-in — within minutes, not hours, and follow a disciplined daily prospecting and follow-up routine
  • Master the product: know every model, trim, feature, and competitor comparison cold, and stay current as the lineup evolves
  • Conduct tailored, professional demonstrations and test drives that connect features to each client’s specific needs and lifestyle
  • Build and actively manage a personal book of business through CRM discipline, past-customer follow-up, and a referral-generating delivery experience
  • Partner with sales management and F&I to structure clean, transparent, fully compliant deals that protect the customer and the store
  • Deliver a white-glove delivery — set up technology, schedule the first service, and personally follow up to confirm complete satisfaction
  • Maintain meticulous, up-to-date CRM records on every prospect and customer interaction
The Standard We Hold

We set a high bar at Grubbs. In this role, success means consistently delivering on the following:

  • Hit and exceed monthly unit and gross targets while protecting CSI
  • Maintain a top-tier customer satisfaction score — every guest leaves feeling respected and well cared for
  • Same-day follow-up on 100% of leads and unsold guests
  • Build repeat and referral business that grows month over month
  • Represent the brand and the Grubbs name with professionalism in appearance, language, and conduct at all times
What We’re Looking For
  • Sales experience preferred — luxury, retail, or automotive a plus
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working on commission
  • Professional appearance and a genuine customer-first attitude
  • Comfort with technology, CRM tools, and digital retailing
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Why Grubbs?
  • Strong earning potential — we reward performance, full stop
  • Represent respected luxury brands you can be proud of
  • Ongoing factory and in-house sales training
  • Family-owned, people-first culture — you’re not a number here
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Employee vehicle purchase program
Ready to Join Us?

If you work with urgency, take pride in doing things right, and want to build a career in the automotive industry with a team that has your back, we want to hear from you. Apply now and a member of our team will be in touch promptly.

Grubbs maintains a strong policy of Equal Employment Opportunity for all associates. We hire, train, promote, and compensate associates based on personal and professional competence and potential for advancement without regard for race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, disability, or citizenship, as well as other classifications protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
