Job description

Now Hiring: Automotive Administrator
Join a Team Where Work Ethic Matters More Than a Perfect Résumé
Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our Administrative Office team.
We aren't necessarily looking for someone who checks every box or comes to us with years of dealership experience. We believe most skills can be taught. What is much harder to teach is a strong work ethic, reliability, a willingness to learn, and the drive to be successful.
If you are someone who shows up, works hard, asks questions, learns quickly, and takes pride in doing a job well, we want to hear from you.
For more than 50 years, Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram has been part of the St. Louis community. We are proud of the dealership we have built and, just as importantly, the team behind it.
What Makes This Position Different?
Our Administrative Office is truly a jack-of-all-trades team.
While everyone has primary responsibilities, we don't believe in the phrase, "That's not my job." Our office supports virtually every area of the dealership, which means our team members become extremely well-rounded and gain experience in many different aspects of dealership operations.
One day you may be processing paperwork or working on reports, and the next you may be assisting another department, researching an issue, helping with a customer transaction, or learning an entirely new process.
If you enjoy variety, learning new things, and being someone, others can count on, you can thrive in this position.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Processing and maintaining dealership paperwork, reports, and records
  • Assisting with vehicle sales documentation, titles, incentives, and related paperwork
  • Performing data entry and invoice processing
  • Maintaining accurate and organized files
  • Communicating with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and dealership employees
  • Assisting our Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, and Management teams when needed
  • Preparing reports and tracking dealership information
  • Learning different administrative functions throughout the dealership
  • Jumping in to help the team wherever needed
  • Taking on additional projects and responsibilities as you grow within the position

Because of the variety of work our office handles, two days are not the same.
Who We're Looking For
Experience is helpful, but attitude and work ethic are more important to us.
Our ideal candidate is someone who:
  • Is dependable and comes to work ready to contribute
  • Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in their work
  • Is willing and eager to learn
  • Can stay organized while handling multiple priorities
  • Pay attention to details and values accuracy
  • Is comfortable asking questions and learning new processes
  • Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told every next step
  • Works well with others and is willing to help teammates
  • Can adapt when priorities change
  • Has a positive, professional attitude
  • Wants more than just a job and has the drive to grow and be successful
  • Has basic computer skills and is comfortable learning new software
  • Has a valid driver's license

Automotive or dealership experience is NOT required. If you have the right attitude and willingness to learn, we are willing to teach you.
The Team Environment
We are fortunate to have a strong, supportive administrative team, and maintaining that environment is extremely important to us.
Our office works closely together, helps one another, communicates openly, and gets the job done without unnecessary workplace drama. We are looking for someone who will contribute positively to that culture.
We want someone who understands that being part of a great team means being dependable, respectful, flexible, helpful, and accountable.
Why Join Glendale Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram?
  • Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Paid Holidays
  • Paid Vacation and Personal Days
  • Stable, long-term employment with an established dealership
  • Opportunity to learn multiple areas of dealership operations
  • A position that allows you to continually expand your skills and responsibilities
  • A supportive, team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunities for growth for employees who demonstrate initiative and a desire to succeed

Ready to Join Our Team?
You don't need the perfect résumé.
If you are reliable, hardworking, willing to learn, and motivated to succeed, we would rather teach you the skills you need than overlook a great person simply because they haven't worked in a dealership before.
If you're looking for an opportunity to become part of a close-knit team, learn a wide variety of skills, and build a long-term career, we encourage you to apply.
Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and driving record screening following a conditional offer of employment.
