Job description

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 3 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted.
AT&T Global Public Sector is a trusted provider of secure, IP enabled, cloud-based, network solutions and professional services to the Federal Government. This PMTS position is part of AT&T's FirstNet Architecture organization, overseeing the end-to-end architecture, planning, design, and implementation of the FirstNet network and its services. The selected candidate for this role will act as the technology solution owner for a variety of next-generation mobile communication features supporting public safety. They will work directly with the FirstNet Authority to review requirements and designs, as well as deliver and present several required contractual reports and documents.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Research, Development and Collaboration: Drive Research and Development initiatives, integrate emerging technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Strategic Technical Leadership/Communication: Provide strategic direction and leadership to develop and implement innovative, scalable, and robust systems aligning with organizational goals. Serve as subject matter expert during the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development.
  • Project and Team Management: Lead complex projects from inception to implementation and foster a collaborative team environment. Effectively communicate project progress and technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Analytics: Conduct quantitative, algorithmic and theory-based analysis for addressing business issues in information extraction and synthesis, data mining, data visualization, network design and optimization, market and financial analysis, operations research, and decision support systems.
  • Qualifying Areas of Technical Expertise: Product/Technology Developer/Engineer, Systems/Platform Architect/Engineer, Hardware/Software Product Engineer, Product QA Certification Designer/Engineer, Technical/Cybersecurity Designer/Engineer, and Open Radio Access Network (ORAN).

Required Qualifications:
  • An expert in their field, applying broad business knowledge and strategic insight surrounding emerging trends and technologies to solve complex problems and drive organizational results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead critical, high-impact projects and designs/implements innovative business strategies.
  • Works with minimal oversight, frequently consulting senior leadership and influencing executive decisions.
  • Serves as a mentor and assists others with challenging issues.

Desired Education/Experience:
PhD in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

$189,200 - $283,800 (Chantilly & Plano)
$169,000 - $253,400 (Alpharetta)
