$160,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Iโ€™m partnering with an innovative, fast-growing company in the aerospace and advanced aviation sector thatโ€™s looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced startup environment and wants to take full ownership of electrical systems from concept through flight qualification.

This would be a full time, onsite position in El Segundo, CA, and you must be a US citizen due to ITAR compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and prototyping of new electrical hardware, including schematic creation, electrical analysis, component selection, deโ€‘rating, and PCBA layout.
  • Own the electrical design lifecycle for flight hardware โ€” from concept and prototyping through bench and functional testing.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and test teams to ensure new designs are practical, manufacturable, and optimized for production (DFM).
  • Help define and refine companyโ€‘wide electrical design processes, including PCBA layout standards, simulation tools, and PLM workflows.
  • Contribute to organizational growth by identifying new technical opportunities, supporting subsidiary evaluations, and driving catalog expansion.
  • Mentor junior engineers and play a key role in building and strengthening the avionics team.
Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design within a professional engineering environment.
  • Experience at a highโ€‘growth aerospace/aviation startups.
  • Experience with flight hardware electrical design endโ€‘toโ€‘end.
  • Proficient with handsโ€‘on debugging using standard electrical lab equipment.
