Associate System Administrator

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Associate Systems Administrator to join the Information Technology (IT) Team located in Daytona Beach, FL or Jacksonville, FL. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

In this role you will be an integral part of the IT Team developing hardware and software solutions for our defense customers. This opportunity is a highly visible and challenging position primarily supporting our Air Dominance (AD), F-15, F-18 and Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers Programs. The Team provides Enterprise capabilities in the closed networks, including standard office, application development stacks, engineering workflows, vulnerability remediation, etc.

As the System Administrator supporting programs based in St Louis, MO, you will perform system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture. Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems. Provides support for the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems.

You will administer users' system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements while monitoring system performance to support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery planning. Your skills will help us bring logistics, manufacturing, and engineering into a seamless ecosystem. You will work with a team on installing, configuring, and maintaining secure systems capable of running and supporting all the tools and engineers. This position directly supports our Air Dominance (AD), F-15, F-18, F22, Training Systems, programs. We provide Enterprise capabilities in the closed networks, including standard office, application development stacks, engineering workflows, vulnerability remediation, etc.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Use Agile frameworks to prioritize and track work needing to be performed utilizing agile best practices and tools to organize and prioritize work

  • Provide support for various applications and utilize patch management tools to maintain security compliance

  • Setup and configure Active Directory (AD) domains using Windows Server software

  • Build and maintain VMware virtual computer environments

  • Provide technical solutions when assisting other team members with troubleshooting and resolving various problems

  • Configure systems to Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) security compliance

  • Work closely with security to safeguard environments and propose changes to policy or processes

  • Evaluates and effectively communicates complex system problems and resolution

  • Monitor and improve system performance and service management, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ticket generation and resolution

  • Interact with Information Technology (IT) Business Partners, Cybersecurity, Programs and IT management on significant technical, security, and operational matters requiring coordination between organizations

  • Provide comprehensive end-to-end computing support in closed environments from desktops to servers

  • Provide broad range of basic systems and application support, including troubleshooting, patch management, anti-virus and auditing

  • Administer user system access by implementing safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements

  • Install, configure, and maintain multi-platform systems hardware, software and components

  • Perform the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions

  • 1+ years of experience in VMWare Virtualization

  • 1+ years of experience administering user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet network security requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing secure Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS) solutions

  • 3+ years of experience in VMWare Virtualization

  • 3+ years of experience leading or performing the activities of complex IT programs

  • 3+ years of experience administering user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet network security requirements

  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2022 - 2025 and Desktop Operations Systems - Windows 11
