Job description

The Navy’s NAVFAC EXWC Command is looking for a Project Manager or System Engineer to support the Cable System Innovation Division. The primary objective of this role is to manage, control, coordinate, and execute assigned undersea infrastructure projects, including complex seafloor cable systems.

Our team provides direct Department of Defense subject matter expertise for multimillion-dollar Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation efforts encompassing the design, planning, and deployment of critical at-sea and seafloor systems. • Knowledge of system engineering concepts, including requirement development, validation and verification techniques, and system engineering technical review processes.
  • Proficiency with software and programming languages such as Microsoft Office (Projects and Visio), systems engineering programming languages (SysML/UML), and model-based system engineering tools (MagicDraw/Cameo and DOORs).
  • Strong analytic, written, and verbal communication skills to illustrate concepts and present technical solutions clearly and concisely.
  • Familiarity with U.S. government acquisitions, regulations, and NAVFAC design guides. COR certification and experience managing contracts is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) and perform occasional field, lab, and offshore work to support projects.
