Job description

Summary of Job Description:

The temporary Risk Associate position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in risk management within the fast-casual restaurant industry while providing support to a national privately-held company with over 50,000 associates.


This position will handle special projects as assigned, which may include data mining, creating PowerPoint slides for presentations, researching new safety tools or methods, desk-level investigations, and supporting our Operations team and guests. The coordinator will support the Risk team in areas of workers’ compensation, auto, property, and liability claims, assist with Operations’ inquiries, and gain exposure to various aspects of the Risk/Legal field. This position will also provide administrative support in the risk management area which should be less than 25% of Associate’s time. The Associate will have the opportunity to directly experience Panda’s corporate culture.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Risk team with workers’ compensation, auto, property, and liability claims. Assist with claims investigations and secure video footage as requested.
  • Assist with data mining and light analysis for risk assessments to support Risk leaders.
  • Research new safety tools or methods to improve workplace safety.
  • Assist with inquiries from Operations and other departments. Coordinate team meetings.
  • Provide administrative and project support to the Risk Management function. Support updating and creating PowerPoint presentations at the direction of Risk leaders.
  • Exposure to corporate insurance and captive programs and may work with team on coordination of information for annual insurance renewal and insurance audit.

Your background & experience:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • If hired, successful completion of annual store training
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.


Pay Range: P1 $28-$35/ Hour

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
