OVERVIEW
Commercial Lines Account ManagerOverview

We’re looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager who thrives at the intersection of client advocacy, market strategy, and operational excellence.This role plays a key part in supporting Producers and clients—leading renewals, marketing accounts, managing service workflows, and helping drive retention and growth across a commercial book of business.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What You’ll DoClient Service & Relationship Management
  • Provide day-to-day service to commercial clients, anticipating needs and responding promptly to inquiries from clients and Producers

  • Lead renewal strategy discussions and ensure seamless execution of service deliverables

  • Assist clients with claim reporting and ongoing coverage questions

Marketing, Quoting & Risk Strategy
  • Market, quote, and prepare proposals for new business and renewal opportunities

  • Analyze risk exposures and structure coverage solutions aligned with business insurance best practices

  • Negotiate with carrier partners to secure competitive terms and appropriate coverage

Policy Administration & Operational Excellence
  • Process renewals, endorsements, bind coverage, invoice, collect premiums, and maintain complete and accurate account documentation

  • Maintain policy data within Applied EPIC, Indio, and other agency management systems

  • Ensure compliance with internal workflows, service standards, and regulatory requirements

Retention & Growth
  • Actively support account retention strategies across your assigned book

  • Identify and place additional lines of coverage through consultative client conversations

  • Contribute to sales and growth initiatives alongside Producers

Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Direct and support assigned Assistant Account Managers, coordinating workflow and delegating tasks

  • Stay informed on industry trends, legislation, coverage developments, and emerging technology


QUALIFICATIONS
What You Bring
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial lines insurance experience

  • Active California Property & Casualty Insurance License

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations impacting commercial insurance

  • Proven experience marketing accounts and negotiating with carriers

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and agency management systems (Applied EPIC, Indio; Salesforce, Zoho, PATA, Resource Pro a plus)

  • Strong analytical, numeric, and strategic planning skills

  • Ability to explain complex insurance transactions in clear, client-friendly language

  • Experience managing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred
  • Professional designations (e.g., CPCU, CIC, or similar)

  • Experience supporting Producers in new business strategy and account development


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Base salary range is $90,000 to $117,500 per year.

This position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
