Project Manager
ACS, a single-source provider of fully integrated facility, equipment, and controls solutions, serving the industrial, process and engine- and vehicle-testing markets is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager for our Verona, WI office.
As a project manager, you're responsible for the comprehensive execution of projects from concept through hand over. This includes front end planning and definition to translate requirements into project scope, budget development and execution strategy, with a continued leadership role to carry projects from design through construction. The projects are largely Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) or Design-Build delivery. Candidates must have a solid understanding of project management tools, experience managing complex multi-disciplinary projects and the knowledge and social skills to lead diverse and dynamic teams.
The Project Manager is a key leadership role which assists in delivery to the company's objectives through successful projects and customer relationships. The role requires consistently meeting client expectations, both defined and implied, by successfully managing projects through meeting program objectives in parallel with balancing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope. Reviews deliverables before passing to client.
  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Manages project budget and schedule.
  • Makes project decisions based on basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
  • Forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, and utilization.
  • Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
  • Possesses ability to support Business Development and Sales team through development of proposals, active participation in customer meetings, and interviews.

Basic requirements include:
  • Experience managing EPC type projects, including ground-up industrial construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible project design, project execution, and project management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of design experience and possesses an overall technical understanding in the areas of process, mechanical, electrical, and controls design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Previous experience in engine vehicle & test and industrial markets preferred.
  • Understanding at a level commensurate with leading a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to travel to various customer sites within the US.
