Job description

We are seeking an Associate Engineer with hands-on operational experience in manufacturing and industrial engineering to support and drive process improvement initiatives within our Lewisville facility. This onsite role is responsible for applying direct floor experience to implement efficient, scalable processes across diverse operations, including high model mix phone repair and assembly, forward/reverse logistics, and liquidation workflows. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in systems optimization, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Associate Engineer will play a key role in enhancing productivity, operational efficiency, and product quality in alignment with evolving business needs.
This is an onsite role in our Lewisville TX facility with a schedule of Monday - Thursday, 6AM - 4.30PM.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing and business processes to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality
  • Collect and interpret operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in time studies, workflow analysis, and layout planning for production or service areas
  • Support manufacturing operations with regards to device failure validation, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation
  • Support the design and implementation of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to implement process changes
  • Collaborate with plant and leadership team, customers, suppliers, and production floor personnel to identify and facilitate projects to improve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Prepare reports, charts, and documentation to communicate findings and support decision-making
  • Contribute to cost-benefit analyses and project justifications
  • Support the introduction of new technologies, automation, or systems in production environments

What are the requirements needed for this position?
  • Associate degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field, or experience commensurate with the coursework associated with a 2+ year college degree
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, operations, or related areas
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD, and industrial engineering software (e.g., Minitab)
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
  • Automation and equipment line balancing & sustainment experience
  • Work with Customers and other Organization Groups to document / develop process requirements
  • Actively identify & pursue process improvement initiatives resulting in decreased CPU

  • Experience in a reverse logistics environment
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification (or working toward certification)
