JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
LOCATION: Irving, TX
DUTIES: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using programming languages including Java, Python, or JavaScript, and frameworks like Spring Frameworks, React, or Node.js. Write, execute, and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability, utilizing tools such as Junit and PyTest. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best engineering practices, coding standards, and security guidelines. Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and products, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and production issues, perform cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in software development, and proactively recommend improvements to processes and systems. Document technical specifications, system designs, and user guides to support ongoing development and knowledge sharing. Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and peers as needed to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate project status, and resolve technical issues.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Full Stack Developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 3 years in the following: Java; MongoDB; Amazon Web Services (Cloud); NewRelic (Observability Platforms); Spring Framework; microservices architecture; Object-Oriented Programming; SQL; and containerization. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, employer will accept a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 1 year of experience in the above skill sets.
