Overview

As a leader within the Analytics team, the Associate Director (AD) will play a pivotal role in shaping the team's future-serving as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor. This role drives the integration of data-driven insights, business intelligence, and innovative measurement solutions that enhance marketing performance and guide future brand strategies.

The Associate Director will own high-impact projects, oversee timelines, and provide strategic direction across technology, reporting, and process optimization. Leveraging a wide range of data sources, this individual will demonstrate the business impact of media and marketing campaigns while translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations that optimize investment and drive results for clients. Beyond project leadership, the AD will mentor and manage junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment that supports both individual development and team growth. 

Reporting to the VP of Analytics, this role offers a unique opportunity to help build a best-in-class analytics practice while advancing the organization's capabilities, delivering measurable client value, and shaping the evolution of the business.

Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Business Development

  • Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, serving as a trusted consultant to define and answer their most important business questions.
  • Lead measurement planning, KPI development, and "test & learn" initiatives tied to client business objectives and performance goals.
  • Translate data into actionable insights that optimize media planning, targeting, and budget allocations, ensuring advertising investments drive measurable results.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and narratives that clearly communicate analytical findings, methodologies, and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee campaign reporting, dashboards, post-campaign analyses, media/creative testing, and competitive research to inform ongoing optimizations.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams to build integrated measurement solutions and ensure consistency across engagements.
  • Proactively find opportunities to expand analytics offerings with current clients and support new business development efforts.
  • Ensure all client deliverables are high quality, on time, and aligned to business objectives.

People & Team Development

  • Manage and mentor Analytics Managers and Analysts, building skills in data analysis, measurement, and visualization.
  • Foster a collaborative, curious, and growth-oriented culture within the analytics team.
  • Provide quality review and strategic oversight to ensure outputs are accurate, clear, and actionable.
  • Develop career paths and balance workload across the team to support retention and professional development.

Practice Development

  • Refine and evolve analytics frameworks, reporting processes, and methodologies to address complex measurement challenges.
  • Drive adoption of advanced techniques, tools, and technologies that enhance efficiency and insight delivery.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse data sources and strengthen analytics capabilities.
  • Lead capability-building initiatives to expand expertise in modeling, statistical analysis, and large-scale data handling.
  • Manage resource allocation across projects, ensuring scalable, high-performing analytics support.
Qualifications
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in data/analytics consulting or quantitative marketing/analysis.
  • 3-4 years of client-facing/consulting experience with a focus on performance media, and 1-2 years of management experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Media metrics, Measurement analytics, Quantitative business measures, advertising technologies and Statistics
  • Highly adaptable, works well in an environment of change, and has ability to lead autonomously in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to mine data, extract and synthesize information into actionable insights
  • Literacy of business intelligence software such as Datorama, Tableau, Power BI, Adobe, Google, etc.
  • Proven ability to lead and grow analytics teams, develop strategic client solutions, and influence senior decision-makers.Degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, or economics. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Compensation Range: $110,580 - $158,865 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
