We are seeking an Information Engineer/ Data Integration XML Specialist. This position will be located in McLean, VA.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management.
  • Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
  • Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements.
  • Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.


Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience is required.
  • Must have active Top Secret security clearance
  • Experience with Java, .NET, Web services, and XLST
  • Experience working in collaborative sessions, while demonstrating strong verbal communication and presentation skills. Software development experience with XML, relational data bases, and web services
  • Proficiency with Oracle databases and procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL), Microsoft SQL server databases, subversion in XML and XML Schema Definition (XSD)
  • Proficiency in XML Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) generation
  • Experience with secure file transfer protocols (SFTP) and web services for data submissions and user access


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering and 5 years experience
