Job description

FIGS is seeking an Associate Designer to contribute to the development of Outerwear, Lounge, and FIGS Pro. This role reports into and partners closely with the Senior Designer to design and deliver elevated, functional product across technical outerwear, tailored wovens, and refined knit categories. You will own portions of the design process from concept through execution, translating brand direction into commercially viable, style-forward product that meets the needs of healthcare professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop styles within assigned categories (Outerwear, Lounge, FIGS Pro)
  • Translate seasonal concepts into product that balances style, function, & commercial viability
  • Create compelling sketches, CADs, and presentation materials to communicate design intent
  • Own tech packs and BOMs for assigned styles across seasons
  • Drive development process in partnership with Product Development and Technical Design
  • Ensure design intent is maintained through development while meeting cost, quality, and timeline targets
  • Research and interpret trends, materials, and market insights across RTW, workwear, and performance categories
  • Apply insights to inform design direction, product decisions, and category evolution
  • Participate in fittings with informed input on fit, construction, and design intent
  • Collaborate with Technical Design to problem-solve and refine product
  • Partner cross-functionally (PD, Tech, Merchandising) to drive product forward
  • Ensure alignment across categories to deliver a cohesive brand experience
  • Manage own workflow and priorities across multiple projects
  • Ensure deliverables align with seasonal calendars and business needs

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in apparel design
  • Experience in outerwear, tailored wovens, knitwear, or RTW categories
  • Strong understanding of silhouette, fit, construction, and technical design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, and Miro (3D tools a plus)
  • Experience working in PLM systems (Centric a plus)

FIGS Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range

  • At FIGS, your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. This role's hourly range is between $75,000 and $90,000. Actual salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
