As part of the University of Cincinnati DAAP Co-Op Program, Abercrombie & Fitch is seeking to place multiple current UC DAAP design students within its Design Department to provide students with practical, hands-on experience in a corporate setting. Only students graduating in Spring of 2027 are eligible.
What Could You Be Doing?
APPAREL DESIGN CO-OPS : Apparel Design Co-ops create high quality, aspirational product for each of our unique lifestyle brands. The designer's role at A&F is to take the product from initial concept through the production of the garment. Designers stay on top of emerging trends through shopping the market, researching vintage, and staying in tune with our customers. This creative research fuels the big picture trend and mood direction at the beginning of each season. Designers focus on every aspect of product development, from fabric and trim selection to editing how the garment fits on live models.
TECHNICAL DESIGN CO-OPS: Technical Design Co-ops translate flat sketches and trim sheets into physical garments by building detailed tech packs. They are responsible for creating detailed technical illustrations, editing paper patterns, and creating patterns from scratch when necessary. Our technical designers lead cross functional fit sessions and communicate with vendors and factories to bring our vision to life. They work closely with Apparel Designers, Merchants, and Sourcing Specialists to protect quality construction and fit for each product category.
This Fall Co-op Program is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio and will take place Fall 2026.
What Do You Need To Bring?
  • Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in fashion/apparel design or relevant field
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • A portfolio is required with application
  • Strong computer skills in Illustrator/PLM preferred
  • Passion for the A&F brands, the role, and an interest in specialty retail
  • Solid technical skills with an impeccable taste level and eye for trend
  • Ability to identify and interpret relevant fashion trends into the brand handwriting
  • A strong curiosity and confidence to push boundaries and bring new ideas to the table
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, structured environment
  • Career-driven, strong work ethic and proven resiliency
  • A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the brand
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate confidently
  • Desire to learn & hunger for more.
