Job description

GENERAL AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

Complete weatherization activities assigned.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Complete weatherization activities assigned on job specifications sheets in accordance with Agency Performance Standards.
  • Work must be completed to standard work specifications with timeliness and program expectations being met
  • Duties include, but not limited to hanging doors, installing windows, adding insulation in attics, crawl spaces and trailer bellies or other areas as needed, weatherstripping and other measures indicated to increase energy efficiency in the homes.
  • Staging materials for jobs in a warehouse
  • Maintain clean worksite
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

1. 2 years construction vocational education or 2 years construction experience.

2. Valid South Dakota driver’s license with no major violations within the past three (3) years.

3. Ability to lift 40lbs, stand/walk for long periods and bending and crouching in small areas.
