NOTICE OF VACANT POSITION
QUALITY FINAL INSPECTOR- WEATHERIZATION – FAYETTEVILLE, NC
Closing Date: Open until filled
Employment Type: Full-time/Non-Exempt
Starting Pay: $17.00 hourly
Amount of Travel Required: 85%
OVERVIEW OF GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· Employee must provide superior customer service in all interactions. Accuracy in final inspection is essential to quality work. Independent actions must be in line with program regulations, agency policies, and safety compliance. Employee must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse population, from customers to contractors to grantor representatives.
· Conducts quality monitoring and inspections by a prepared schedule. Completes appropriate checklist. Conducts post inspections to ensure work has been performed as prescribed and meets ACTION PATHWAYS, INC. requirements and grantor regulations. Communicates significant issues identified during quality assurance activities to the affected peer and supervisor. Prepares report of findings, concerns and recommendations.
· Assists in educating customers about energy savings and related energy issues. Provides literature and responds to questions
· Transfers data accurately into computer program(s). Prepares and submits work orders and material information to the contractor, ensuring work is completed promptly to remain on target with the contract.
· Assist the Project Manager in responding to complaints, if any. Conducts intake, investigates allegations, interviews potential witnesses, and prepares a report on findings with recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) in field related to “green” industries on housing.
Experience: One to two years related experience in the field of energy or housing; or equivalent combination of experience and education or training.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software and Microsoft Office Suite. Employee must be able to prepare spreadsheets.
Applicant must possess computer proficiency that enables learning specific program software (AR4CA) within 30 days of hire.
Certificates amp; Licenses
It is the employee's responsibility to obtain and keep current all certifications, licenses, health cards, etc., at all times.
Must have current driver’s license and own vehicle.
Must have 40 hours of Weatherization training and successfully pass testing modules within 120 days of employment. Other certifications and knowledge include being able to operate a blower door accurately, carbon monoxide and moisture assessment tests, etc.
Employee must have or earn Lead Renovator's Certification within 90 days of employment.
Employee must have OSHA 30 Hour Training Course for Construction Safety within 120 days of employment.
Employee must become First aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified within 90 days of employment.
Employee must be Fit Tested for mask/respirator within 90 days of employment as required by Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA).
Applicant will receive on-the-job training to accelerate ability to perform functions of the job.
Other Requirements:
Individual must be able to work independently without close supervision but also capable of working with a diverse group of people. A strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality is required. Must be detail oriented, a team player with strong interpersonal skills. Superior oral and written communication skills are essential to success in this job. Must have the capacity to complete projects on schedule and independently.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background check with state and Federal law enforcement agency required. Selected applicant must submit to a pre-employment substance abuse screening test and receive a negative result for the use of drugs and alcohol as specified in agency policies. Must submit and receive negative results for random testing of same. Applicant must have and maintain a valid NC driver’s license an acceptable driving.
