Job description

Cardiothoracic Surgeon

The Cardiothoracic Surgeon will:

  1. Perform a range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures
  2. Participate in inpatient and outpatient care (rounding and clinic)
  3. Take shared on-call responsibilities (10–12 days/month including 2 weekends/month)
  4. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary medical team
  5. Use the EPIC EMR system for documentation and coordination of care
  6. See an average of ~20 patients per day
  7. Contribute to building the Cardiothoracic Surgery program by joining as the second surgeon
  8. Participate in call and emergency surgical coverage

Not open to:

  • New graduates or truly Board Eligible candidates
  • APPs (Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants)
  • Candidates with lapsed Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Candidates commuting more than 1 hour or working multiple jobs concurrently
  • H-1B visa candidates (J1 visa sponsorship only)

  • Clean Malpractice and Licensing History – REQUIRED
