Overview

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the Unit Secretary encompasses the coordination of secretarial needs for the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:   High school diploma or GED preferred. 

Experience:Minimum of one year experience as Unit Secretary, or front office Medical Assistant/Secretary, in lieu of experience, completion of Unit Secretary course, or enrolled in nursing program. In lieu of one year unit secretary experience we will accept 6 months experience if it occurred at SARH.

Knowledge and Skills:   Basic knowledge of medical terminology, computer and order entry skills. Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.  Able to work in a fast paced environment and manage/prioritize/ complete work assignments and other duties, as assigned. 

License/Certifications:   Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required.

Physical Requirements:   Must be able to perform essential physical job requirements.

PAY RANGE

$21.00 - $29.12

Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
