We are open to candidates who are interested in working out of either our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan or Kamloops, British Columbia office. The successful candidate will work closely with the Recruitment, Business Development, and Operations teams to support talent acquisition activities, project staffing needs, and internal business initiatives across the mining, energy, and heavy industrial sectors.

The Recruitment Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the recruitment process by assisting with candidate sourcing, maintaining talent pipelines, coordinating interviews, managing applicant tracking systems, supporting onboarding activities, and providing administrative support. This role will work closely with internal teams, candidates, and operational leaders to ensure project staffing needs are met while contributing to the continued growth of Peter Lucas.

ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Candidate Management
  • Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, referrals, networking, and job boards.
  • Review resumes and identify qualified candidates for current and future opportunities.
  • Conduct phone, virtual, and initial interviews to assess candidate qualifications, technical experience, and overall fit.
  • Coordinate interviews and communicate professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Prepare and post job advertisements across multiple recruitment platforms.
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with offer preparation.
  • Support onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Represent Peter Lucas professionally when engaging with candidates and promoting our brand.
Talent Pipeline Development
  • Build and maintain talent benches for key technical disciplines and future client opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with passive candidates and maintain regular communication.
  • Create and maintain candidate profiles within Peter Lucas’ internal talent platform.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and internal databases.
  • Track and manage recruitment pipelines and hiring activities.
  • Assist with recruitment reporting, metrics, and administrative activities.
  • Identify emerging talent trends and recommend strategies to strengthen recruitment efforts.
Business Development & Operational Support
  • Support the Business Development team with administrative and coordination activities.
  • Prepare candidate packages, resumes, capability summaries, and talent profiles for client proposals and presentations.
  • Assist with maintaining client opportunity trackers, recruitment pipelines, and internal reporting.
  • Coordinate meetings, follow-up actions, and documentation related to business development activities.
  • Assist with preparing proposal content, presentations, and marketing materials as required.
  • Support the maintenance of internal talent databases, client records, and recruitment metrics.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Recruitment, Business Development, and Operations teams as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, Commerce, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-3 years of recruitment, customer service, sales, business development, or administrative experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable speaking with people over the phone and through virtual meetings.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or an Applicant Tracking System is considered an asset. Training provided.
