Role Mission:

The Assistant Project Manager supports the successful execution of construction projects by coordinating schedules, documentation, materials, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. This role exists to uphold consistency, eliminate delays, and reinforce HY standards across every project.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily coordination to keep work flowing safely and efficiently.
  • Manage project paperwork including RFIs, submittals, permits, change orders, meeting notes, logs, and closeout documents.
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to verify delivery dates, lead times, scopes, and schedule commitments.
  • Monitor project schedules and update internal teams on critical paths, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Assist with buyouts, pricing comparisons, and procurement tracking to ensure timely material availability.
  • Maintain accurate documents, logs, drawings, and correspondence in HY systems.
  • Attend job meetings and document action items with ownership and follow-through until issues are resolved.
  • Model the HY standard of professionalism with all internal and external partners.

Must-Have Competencies:
