Program Analyst – J6 Business Administration Office (BAO)
Location: MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL - Position is 100% Onsite

Position Overview

We are seeking a Program Analyst (PA) to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) J6 Business Administration Office (BAO) at MacDill AFB. This position is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting mission-critical programs. The successful candidate will possess strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Utilize web-based portals and tools to manage, track, and organize programs supporting the J6 BAO.
  • Support J6 BAO administration efforts, including training coordination, Task Management Tool (TMT) taskers, and policy implementation tracking.
  • Monitor compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Quickly learn and integrate into the USSOCOM mission and organizational culture.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support various J6 BAO initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with government personnel and stakeholders to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of policy and administrative documentation.
  • Generate reports and assist in analyzing organizational performance against established standards.
  • Prepare briefings, training materials, and operating procedure documentation.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support leadership decision-making.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify gaps, and track potential risks or issues.
  • Maintain issue-tracking logs and coordinate follow-up actions with responsible parties.
  • Provide planning support, including scheduling, budgeting, and performance monitoring activities.
  • Gather and analyze data to produce recurring program status reports.
  • Process travel requests and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage incoming correspondence and ensure appropriate routing and distribution.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements in collaboration with the Travel Coordinator.
  • Organize meetings, events, and virtual sessions, including agenda development and meeting documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Clearance Requirement
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using web-based portals and document management systems.
  • Interest in program management, project scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
