Position Summary Information
Responsibilities
The Delta State University School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of English to start in August 2026. This position is for one year and non-tenure track. Teaching responsibilities (4-4 load) will be in undergraduate English courses (face-to-face and online), with particular focus on composition and introductory literature courses. Position responsibilities will center on offering quality instruction and communicating effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisor.
Qualifications
A minimum Master's in English or Composition/Rhetoric in hand at the start of employment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
