Job description

The School of Communication seeks an assistant professor Communication with expertise in the practice and theory of communication and rhetoric. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Communication Studies, with specialties in Speech Communication, Rhetorics, and Digital Rhetorics. Preference will be given to candidates with college teaching and curricular design experience. Experience coaching debate or competitive argumentation, including research, evidence evaluation, and oral advocacy, is a plus.

The position will support the Powers of Words Rhetorical Sequence, Lipscomb's Communication and Composition Core curriculum co-requisite classes. With a 24-hour teaching load as a tenure-track, 10-month faculty member.
