The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Seton Hall University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in Computer Science to start in August 2026.
Seton Hall University is located in South Orange, New Jersey, 14 miles from New York City. It is the oldest Catholic diocesan institution of higher education in the United States and is home to about 6,300 undergraduate and 4,700 graduate students. Duties and Responsibilities:

Priority will be given to applicants with research in areas of Computer Engineering, Robotics, or Cybersecurity. Depending on the applicant's academic background, teaching responsibilities will include courses in Computer Science at all undergraduate levels and/or undergraduate/graduate courses in Cybersecurity or Data Science, including service courses. In addition, supervision of student research and maintaining a computer engineering lab is expected.

Required Qualifications:

A PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related area is required. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in teaching, in research, and in providing student research experiences. The candidate's Ph.D. must be completed by the start of employment.

Desired Qualifications:

Teaching experience, a publication record, and successful grant funding are desirable

Salary Range:

$98,500-$109,500

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt

Physical Demands: General Office Environment
