Summary
This Wholesale Merchandise Planner will be part of a team responsible for crafting compelling product assortments for the #1 kids' shoe brand in America. They are a results-oriented merchandise planner that will help manage brand and warehouse open to buy's, perform seasonal deep dives into product and inventory productivity for key accounts, and work with the sales teams on in-season inventory utilization. This person needs to be an enterprise-oriented individual who will work cross-functionally to drive sales, margins, and turnover on a daily/weekly/monthly and annual basis. The Wholesale Merchandise Planner will be empowered to make strategic data-driven decisions and partner with their manager while also balancing input from cross-functional team members.
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00
Key Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to
• Control and manage the Open to Buy across multiple brands, warehouses, and selling platforms.
• Communicate receipt needs and address any sales and inventory concerns with the merchandise team & management.
• Conduct seasonal selling and inventory productivity analysis on key accounts in partnership with sales executives.
• Complete weekly selling recap reporting.
• Produce and assist with any department or company reports in preparation for weekly/quarterly/seasonal business reviews.
• Develop strong working relationships with the sales and merchandising teams.
• Set high personal performance standards that deliver results, convey a sense of urgency and enthusiasm for the business, and help achieve goals despite obstacles.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Fashion Merchandising, or Statistics.
• 3-5 years of retail merchandise planning; inventory management; financial planning or financial analysis experience
• Strong understanding and execution of managing an Open to Buy
• Advanced proficiency or above in Power BI and Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
• E-Commerce planning experience is a plus
• Strong retail math and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, multi-task oriented
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and discipline to check work
