Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of the Law Library, the Faculty Services Librarian oversees research assistants, specialized research, and instructional and scholarly support services to law faculty. This position plays a central role in advancing faculty teaching resources and scholarship by delivering research assistance, providing training on instructional resources, and supporting the integration of legal research into the curriculum. The Faculty Services Librarian holds a non-tenure-track faculty appointment and will teach various legal research courses and potentially other courses within the law school curriculum
Required Qualifications
J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and experience in an academic law library; Master of Library and Information Science degree from an ALA-accredited program, or significant graduate-level coursework toward such a degree
Preferred Qualifications
Law library reference desk, help desk, or other customer service experience; familiarity with law library operations; familiarity with bibliographic classification systems, such as MARC, LC classification, or LCSH; teaching, training, or other instruction experience; experience using technology for teaching or presenting to large groups; active law license; law practice experience.
