Job Title - Assistant General Counsel
Company Location -Remote
Fully-Remote, Full Time
Salary Range; $175k-230k, DOE
Job Summary of the Assistant General Counsel position
Integr8staff seeks a proven Assistant General Counsel to support in leading, resolving conflicts of interest and support the intake function, including drafting waivers and implementing outside counsel guidelines. This is a critical role with a thriving AmLaw50 firm offering phenomenal career development.
Responsibilities of the Assistant General Counsel position
The Assistant General Counsel is a member of Sheppard's Office of the General Counsel.
Work under the direction of the Senior Assistant General Counsel.
Review, analyze and resolve conflicts of interest and support the intake function, including drafting waivers and implementing outside counsel guidelines.
Support the OGC in advising the firm's attorneys on the rules of professional responsibility, ethics, risk management and other legal issues associated with the business and operations of the firm.
Demonstrate mastery of the rules of professional conduct and related legal authorities related to conflicts of interest and disqualification.
Perform analysis of conflict results and find creative approaches to meet the Firm's business needs while upholding the legal requirements of the ethics rules.
Work effectively with analysts, technology, staff and attorneys to provide excellent and timely service.
Requirements of the Assistant General Counsel position
Juris Doctor Required
3+ years of legal ethics or law firm and conflicts analysis experience required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Required to come into the office on an as-needed basis.
Be meticulous, intellectually curious, have good knowledge of conflict rules, effective people skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
After-hours and weekend work will be required on occasion as the workload requires.
