The main difference between a Senior General Counsel and a Corporate Counsel lies in their level of responsibility and strategic involvement. Senior General Counsels typically hold executive positions, overseeing the entire legal department and advising top management. Corporate Counsels usually focus on specific legal areas such as contracts, compliance, or transactions within the company. Both roles require a JD and bar admission, but the Senior General Counsel's role involves higher-level decision-making and leadership.
