Position Description: Provide financial services to profit center. Partner with Financial Manager and department heads in management of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
Reports to: Financial Manager, Operational Finance
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create supportive environment to develop high performing team, provide training opportunities and engage in coaching and mentoring relationships.
  • Lead accountants and other related team members, provide timely performance feedback and contribute to performance appraisals utilizing talent management systems.
  • Develop and deliver training to educate staff members regarding related department processes.
  • Partner with Financial Manager to provide year-end detailed analysis and work papers for year-end corporate audit.
  • Review quarterly account reconciliations and make recommendations for improvement to Financial Manager.
  • Review monthly G&A monitor and participate in updating forecast.
  • Actively contribute to cash management and profit enhancement initiatives.
  • Partner with Financial Manager on development and preparation of annual profit plan and forecasting reports.
  • Ensure rigorous and ethical standards of compliance with external requirements (GAAP, IAS, FARS, ERISA and IRS) and internal company policies.
  • Assist Financial Manager on financial risk management and support development of policies and procedures.
  • Work with Senior Leadership Team to ensure staff are compliant with company policy and help determine specific policy amendments as needed for business unit.
  • Identify risks on projects that impact earnings.
  • Guide and give advice of risk assessment for Profit Plans & CABs.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, MBA a plus
  • Thorough application of accounting principles
  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Management experience
  • Keen analytic ability to review and assess financial data, interpret trends, and recognize inconsistencies
  • Demonstrate understanding of cash flows and implements procedures to optimize interest income
  • Implement policies and standards ensuring compliance from team members while managing and minimizing financial risk
  • Ability to facilitate and implement process improvement ideas to improve department processes and operations
  • Ability to observe performance, identify areas of development, and effectively provide performance feedback
  • Proficient with financial system applications, MS Excel, and MS Office
