The Financial Analyst supports the financial operations of The Arc of Bristol County by assisting with budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, reimbursement monitoring, and data management. Working under the direction of the Controller and in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer and program leadership, this position provides accurate financial information and analysis that supports sound decision-making, regulatory compliance, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, analyzing financial trends, supporting reimbursement activities, and identifying opportunities to improve operational and financial performance across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, or nonprofit finance.
  • Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or human services organizations preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting and Financial Analysis
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Prepare monthly budget-to-actual reports and analyze budget variances.
  • Monitor departmental and program expenditures and identify financial trends.
  • Assist with revenue and expense forecasting.
  • Prepare financial analyses to support operational and management decisions.
