Job description

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain basic financial records and files.

• Prepare simple financial reports and routine presentations.

• Support the Finance and Accounting Division in maintaining accounting records and account balances in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Perform reconciliations of budgetary and proprietary accounts, general ledgers and subsidiary ledger accounts.

• Provide routine maintenance and Help Desk support as required for financial systems.

• Provide support to the Finance and Accounting Division in preparing Agency financial statements, footnotes and supporting documentation.

Skills:

• Ability to understand general business operations and follow financial guidelines and accounting rules.

• Able to assess products and procedures for compliance and Government standards and sound financial management principles.

• Ability to differentiate and work with various appropriations.

• Understanding and compliance with Government standards, accounting principles and system application standards.

Qualifications:

Associate Degree or 2 years of experience may be substituted for an Associate degree.

Minimum 4 years of experience in performing business and/or financial management tasks.

Qualify for a Secret security clearance or higher
