Job description

OVERVIEW
The Junior Financial Analyst prepares and delivers reporting and analytic support for the Financial Planning & Analysis group.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual productivity reports and variance analyses for executive management team members;
  • Runs SQL queries and Elite reports to compile data and produce reporting;
  • Updates and maintains various databases utilized by other departments to ensure data accuracy and consistency;
  • Collaborates with the IT department to support the implementation and ongoing use of the Partner Dashboard and business intelligence tools;
  • Provides support on various special projects, as assigned;
  • Handles ad hoc requests, as required; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or math required;
  • 1-3 years related work experience, law firm experience a plus;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with partners and staff at all levels;
  • Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to organize, analyze and present data accurately;
  • Working knowledge of SQL, SQL Server Management Studio and reporting tools;
  • Knowledge of Elite 3E preferred;
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to support reporting needs for partners and staff;
  • Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills;
  • Must have strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to work well under pressure, coordinate several activities at once and meet strict deadlines; and
  • Availability to work additional hours, as needed.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change. The hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, Monday through Friday. The estimated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and discretionary bonus(es), we offer a generous employee benefits package including, but not limited to, paid time off, medical, dental, vision care, 401(k) and substantial health club discounts.
