Job Title: Dental Financial Coordinator

Location: Quincy, IL

Employment Type: Full Time

Position Summary:

The Dental Financial Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing financial interactions with patients, optimizing case acceptance, and ensuring smooth financial operations within the Practice. This individual will be responsible for patient billing, insurance claims, financing options, and other financial coordinator duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Billing & Insurance:

• Verify and file insurance claims promptly and accurately.

• Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding claim status and account balances.

• Review and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and help patients understand their insurance coverage.

Patient Financial Consultations:

• Conduct financial consultations with patients to discuss treatment costs, insurance benefits, and financing options.

• Present third-party finance to allow providers to maximize case acceptance. • Educate patients on payment plans and work closely with them to ensure financial clarity and commitment.

Accounts Receivable Management:

• Maintain accurate patient account records, ensuring timely and accurate posting of payments and adjustments.

• Track and manage outstanding patient balances, including follow-up on unpaid accounts and managing collection processes as necessary.

Scheduling Support & Case Acceptance:

• Collaborate with the scheduling team to coordinate appointments that maximize production while maintaining a focus on patient retention.

• Support the practice in meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by driving case acceptance and supporting revenue cycle management.

Reporting:

• Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable, production and collections.
