Job description

Sun Valley is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef to join our team and take pride in providing top of the line breads, desserts, and pastries for one of our most popular restaurants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee preparation and/or prepare all desserts and baked goods from start to finish using established hotel recipes
  • Prepare above dishes using own recipes or developing and creating new dishes
  • Design and prepare special order cakes, desserts, and pastries as requested
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper function of all kitchen/ bakery appliances and equipment used in the preparation of dishes
  • Participate in the development of venue budget
  • Interview, hire, train, and schedule staff as needed
  • Ensure adequate supplies of all raw-material needed to prepare baked goods and dessert items
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed advanced courses in Baking, Cake Decoration, or equivalent experience
  • Culinary certificate preferred
