Job description

Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Localization Manager with a major corporation in Burbank/Glendale, CA. Ideal candidates can be onsite 1โ€“2 days per week.
24 month contract
Pay Rate: $
47 to $50 per hour/DOE
Important to Have:
Project Management Requirement: Critical requirement. Candidates should be able to manage multiple workstreams, organize complex tasks, shift priorities quickly, coordinate stakeholder deliverables, and execute complex workflows.
Preferred Backgrounds: Media and entertainment, streaming platforms, content distribution, metadata localization, artwork localization, and theatrical localization.
Manager Priorities: Natalie is looking for candidates who can keep multiple projects moving, manage competing priorities, learn quickly, work independently after training, communicate effectively, show strong attention to detail, and understand localization without extensive foundational training.
Training & Ramp-Up: Minimal ramp-up preferred; the candidate should be able to hit the ground running. Prior localization experience is strongly desired. Senior team members will provide structured onboarding and workflow training.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the management, coordination, and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. May require a bachelor''s degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field''s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in localization management to lead the day-to-day requirements for localization operations. This person will assist in guiding the policies and procedures around metadata and artwork orders, technical specification, reference materials, international timelines, studio outreach, and territory communications. This job requires interface with multiple business units within the company; therefore, the candidate must have sensitivity to customer service and a sense of diplomacy. This person will be a point of contact for titles within a specific workflow, overseeing and working with various internal departments, vendors & territory offices to provide order alignment, and working with creative vendors and internal teams toward final delivery of content to Streaming.
Responsibilities & Duties of the Role:
โ€ขManagement of various content, including the artwork and metadata localization workstreams.
โ€ขThe main requirement being to validate and certify readiness, liaising with vendors, supporting the workstream through project management and asset prep facilitation
โ€ขEffectively communicate project and title level updates cross-functionally and with our internal and external partners
โ€ขCollaborate with internal product and platform technology teams to ensure required delivery systems are appropriately supported
โ€ขCreation or adjustment of departmental SOPs
โ€ขFinancial responsibility for invoice validation and submission
โ€ขResponsible for the development of statistical metrics which will enable Senior Management to analyze and act on identified information
โ€ขAbility to communicate effectively on a regular cadence to wide audiences on overall project health
โ€ขKnowledgeable and realistic when balancing client demands with creative and qualitative integrity.
โ€ขTroubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis to define what happened and how the issue can be avoided/resolved going forward
โ€ขProvide timely feedback to Manager on perceived delays or challenges to the defined delivery deadlines
โ€ขPerceive and identify patterns that can facilitate resolution to complex problems
โ€ขApplies creative and practical solutions for problem solving
Basic Qualifications:
โ€ข Experience in managing content localization workflow required (Minimum 1 year)
โ€ข Project management experience in localization (Minimum 3 years)
โ€ข Extensive knowledge of localization workflows in the entertainment industry
โ€ข International Territory/Market experience
โ€ข Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Digital Media and Distribution experience (Preferred)
โ€ข Exposure to developing and implementing ISO 9000 strategies (Preferred)
