Job description

Job Title: Community Association Manager

Location: Bellevue, WA

Pay: Up to $90k (dependent on experience)

Job Overview:

Seeking an experienced, full-time Community Association Manager for a portfolio of communities (HOA, High-Rise, and Condominiums) in the Greater Puget Sound Area. After the initial training period, this position would be hybrid.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance of common areas, including landscape, rights-of-way, drainage ponds and systems, swales, and other features. Oversee activities of on-site landscape maintenance and other vendors.

  • Negotiate (in some cases, directly manage) and oversee contractors, vendors, suppliers, and all service providers to ensure prompt response to issues, expected performance, and compliance with contract specifications.

  • Create and earn a rapport with residents and volunteer board members to develop an environment of willingness, cooperation, collaboration, and understanding.

  • Provide information to residents, address their concerns, enforce the Association's governing documents, and manage conflict resolution.

  • Assist in setting the agenda of Board and Ownership meetings and facilitating the orderly business process of the Association.

  • Schedule Board and Ownership meetings, provide information and reports, create and maintain action item lists, develop and maintain Owner files and Association records, and handle correspondence as needed on time.

  • Obtain bids and proposals.

  • Report all issues of importance to the Board and Management on time.

  • Serve as advisor to the Board of Directors, community volunteers, committees, etc. This includes attending all meetings (board, special, and annual meetings). Many are held virtually, but some may be in person.

  • Preview monthly financials, prepare narrative reports on the Association's financial standing, and coordinate with managing departments on accounting matters.

  • Prepare and provide oversight of annual budgets and related expenses.

  • Prioritize goals and work with the Association Board to resolve issues.

Experience and Education:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with the elected board, management, peers, trade partners, and customers.

  • Proven track record of achieving goals and objectives with minimal supervision.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Expert at time management, self-starting practices, and follow-up skills with a proactive and friendly management style.

  • CMCA designation preferred.
