Job Title: Traffic Controller
Pay: $15/hr
Shift: Tue-Thurs 10am to 7pm

The Traffic Controller serves as a frontline representative responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and customer-focused operation of parking facilities. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage traffic flow, enforce parking policies, and respond to customer inquiries and issues in a professional and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional, face-to-face customer service, ensuring a positive parking experience.
  • Assist customers who are unsure of payment methods or parking procedures.
  • Support customers throughout the parking entry and exit process.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, including handling irate or escalated situations in accordance with company policies and service standards.
  • Act as a frontline representative of the company, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Issue parking notices to vehicles in violation of facility policies and accurately document violations.
  • Monitor and manage traffic flow within the parking facility.
  • Conduct routine lot counts and adjust parking counters as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination of ingress and egress to maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of lot activity, revenues, and related transactions.
  • Perform regular patrols of the parking facility, including during various weather conditions.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or operational issues to the Site Manager.
  • Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and free of obstacles at all times.
  • Coordinate with property security for any parking- or garage-related incidents.
  • Operate and maintain company and/or property-owned equipment during assigned shifts.
  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, issues, and incidents in the logbook.
  • Communicate all relevant information to supervisors and management in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize daily tasks and operational needs.
  • Provide suggestions and recommendations to improve parking operations and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Previous experience in customer service, parking operations, or traffic control is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Detailed Oriented
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of equipment operation and reporting procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver License with good driving record
  • Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the Eโ€‘Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
  • COVID-19 vaccination and annual flu vaccination are required for this position (subject to approved exemptions).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Capability to handle light equipment and tools as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • This role operates primarily in an outdoor parking facility environment and requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
