CAD/CAM Manager

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Compensation: Approximately $100,000–$140,000, based on experience

About the Role

Our company is seeking an experienced Dental CAD/CAM Manager to lead and support a growing digital production team focused on implant restorations, custom abutments, metal manufacturing, and advanced restorative workflows.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong CAD/CAM professional who has both technical expertise and leadership experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing design quality, managing production workflow, troubleshooting digital and manufacturing challenges, and helping build a team as the operation continues to expand.

This role is best suited for someone who understands the pace and precision required in a high-volume dental manufacturing environment and can help maintain consistent quality while supporting future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily CAD/CAM operations and production workflow
  • Manage and support designers and technical team members
  • Review digital cases for accuracy, quality, and manufacturing readiness
  • Oversee design quality control and ensure consistent production standards
  • Troubleshoot software, equipment, design, and workflow challenges
  • Collaborate with production and leadership teams to improve efficiency and turnaround times
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and team development as the department grows
  • Assist with workflow optimization and continuous process improvement
  • Maintain high standards for precision, reproducibility, and quality assurance
  • Help support operational growth while ensuring excellent case outcomes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of dental CAD/CAM experience preferred
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong experience with implant restorations and advanced restorative cases
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following platforms preferred:
  • Exocad
  • 3Shape
  • Hyperdent
  • MillBox
  • Experience working with digital production, milling workflows, or dental manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting
  • CAM engineering, nesting, or toolpath experience highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Portfolio or case examples required as part of the interview process
