Bar & Events Supervisor
The Lawn at The Cove Salem
Are you passionate about hospitality, entertainment, and creating unforgettable guest experiences? The Lawn at The Cove Salem is seeking a creative, organized, and energetic Bar & Events Supervisor to oversee bar operations while leading the planning, programming, and execution of our exciting lineup of events.
From live music and comedy nights to themed experiences, private events, and seasonal activations, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats- from tending bar to developing engaging event programming, and ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the bar
  • Lead and support staff during service and special events
  • Develop, schedule, and manage a calendar of entertainment and special events, including live music, comedy, themed nights, and seasonal activations
  • Create new event concepts and programming designed to increase guest engagement, revenue, and repeat visitation
  • Coordinate with performers, vendors, promoters, and community partners to execute successful events
  • Oversee private events
  • Assist in event logistics, including staffing, timelines, setup, breakdown, and vendor coordination
  • Ensure the bar and event spaces are clean, organized, fully stocked, and operating efficiently
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering beer, wine, liquor, and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
  • Collaborate with the team to promote upcoming events and develop new programming opportunities
  • Assist with scheduling

Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory experience in hospitality, bar operations, events, or entertainment venues preferred
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and executing public events and private functions
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service practices; ServeSafe and TIPs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with guests, entertainers, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. and standing for extended periods
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
