WinterWorld is Richmond's premier holiday attraction, transforming the brand-new CarMax Park into a magical winter wonderland. Featuring a 12,500-square-foot ice skating rink, a six-lane ice slide, a Ferris wheel, a giant tree maze, and local holiday vendors, this event is set to welcome a projected 75,000 guests from November 18 to January 3.
Position Summary
The Holiday Elf is an energetic, front-facing brand ambassador responsible for bringing the magic of the season to life. You will interact dynamically with guests of all ages, assist Santa and Mrs. Claus, help manage attraction areas (such as Santa's Workshop and Mrs. Claus Arts & Crafts), and maintain an atmosphere of pure holiday joy.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Interaction: Greet visitors with high-energy theatrical flair, improv comedy, and warm holiday charm from the moment they enter the gates.
Assistance: Assist Santa and Mrs. Claus during visits, photo opportunities, and interactive storytelling. Assist guests in queue lines and directional information.
Character Integrity: Remain fully in-character (jolly, helpful, and slightly mischievous) while wearing the provided festive costume.
Safety & Upkeep: Keep performance and greeting areas tidy, report crowd-flow bottlenecks, and adhere strictly to event safety policies.
Qualifications & Skills
Personality: Outgoing, charismatic, patient, and deeply enthusiastic about the holiday spirit.
Experience: Previous background in theater, acting, children's entertainment, hospitality, or theme park character performance is preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and actively engage outdoors in cold winter weather for extended shift blocks.
Availability: Must be able to work flexible seasonal hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays through New Year's.
