We're looking for a Head of Carpentry to lead our in-house carpentry team and ensure our field execution continues to meet the highest standards of craftsmanship, professionalism, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in their craft, leads with structure and accountability, and is ready to help grow and improve a carpentry division over time.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage Sineath's in-house carpentry team across active custom home and remodeling projects
  • Set clear daily and weekly expectations to ensure work is executed efficiently and according to plan
  • Uphold and enforce Sineath's standards for exceptional craftsmanship and jobsite professionalism
  • Partner with Field Managers and Area Construction Managers to align schedules, priorities, and client expectations
  • Utilize construction management software (JobTread) to track progress, communicate, and drive accountability
  • Interview, hire, train and mentor carpenters-raising the bar for performance, consistency, and pride in work
  • Proactively identify and solve field challenges before they impact timeline, budget, or client experience
  • Ensure every jobsite reflects a clean, organized, and client-ready environment
  • Review and approve crew timecards and track labor hours to support accurate job costing
  • Assist in developing carpentry labor budgets, proposals, and time estimates for upcoming projects and change orders
  • Support invoicing by verifying completed work, labor hours, and scope completion
  • Help create, implement, and enforce a company-wide jobsite safety program and ensure all carpentry team members follow safety standards and procedures
  • Participate in planning meetings to forecast labor needs, manpower allocation, and upcoming project timelines
  • Continuously improve carpentry division processes, systems, and field efficiency as the company grows
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on residential construction experience (finish carpentry strongly preferred)
  • 1-3+ years leading others in the field (crew lead, foreman, or similar leadership role)
  • Experience with construction management software (Buildertrend, JobTread, CoConstruct, or similar)
  • Experience with time tracking, estimating labor hours, job costing, proposals, or invoicing is a plus
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for quality and professionalism
  • Calm, professional presence with the ability to represent the company well with clients and trade partners
  • Strong communicator who follows through and holds others accountable
  • Takes ownership and operates with pride, discipline, and consistency
