Our client, a stable and growing privately held company, is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting functions while supporting general office operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys managing the full accounting cycle, payroll, and administrative operations in a collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while partnering closely with leadership to support the company's financial and operational success.
Accounting & Finance
- Manage all aspects of the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare internal financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Coordinate with the external CPA firm regarding tax preparation and annual financial reporting.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns, 1099s, and other required filings.
- Maintain vendor, customer, and contract records.
Payroll & Employee Administration
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll tax requirements.
- Maintain payroll records and employee-related accounting information.
- Track commissions, expense reimbursements, and company assets.
- Assist with benefits administration and employee documentation as needed.
Office Management & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to company leadership.
- Manage office operations and coordinate day-to-day administrative activities.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and executive communications.
- Support and oversee office and accounting staff.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate across departments to support business objectives.
- 5+ years of Full Charge Bookkeeping, Accounting, or related experience.
- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Payroll processing experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Prior supervisory or office management experience preferred.
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
