Full Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager (QuickBooks exp req) Location: Minutes West of Hartford, CT Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 DOE + Bonus Potential + Benefits Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision, Life Insurance, IRA w/ Match, PTO Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: ~40 hrs/wk, M-F 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Start Date: ASAP Sponsorship: Not Available Full Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager (QuickBooks exp req) Description Our client, a residential and commercial development company, is looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager to add to their team. In this role, you will serve as the financial backbone of a portfolio of approximately 40 entities in commercial real estate and active construction. You will work closely with the owners and small office staff to manage tax and financial reporting, onboarding of new hires and benefits, and serve as primary point of contact with bank managers and lawyers for acquisitions, new leases, and investments. This is a quiet, independent role inside a laid-back family culture. If you are an experienced full-charge bookkeeper with multi-company experience in the real estate or construction space, this may be the perfect role for you! Full Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager (QuickBooks exp req) Responsibilities Manage full charge bookkeeping across 40+ entities Serve as primary point of contact with bank managers and lawyers Work closely with CPA firm on tax returns and year-end close Prepare monthly sales & use tax and complete sales tax audits Prepare all estimated tax payments and respond to IRS notices for company, trust, individual Prepare property tax reports Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reports Maintain all company-wide balance sheets and reporting: AR, AP, WIP, fixed assets/related debt Manage CAM reporting, computations, and reconciliations (true-up) Manage intercompany reconciliations, interest tracing, and cash flow Review profit/loss statement for anomalies and errors Analyze/summarize new leases, update rental activity per lease agreements Create report timeline of new lease adjustments; continuously update Rent Roll Report Oversee office staff; Prepare Form 1099s and MyConnect entries Manage weekly payroll, employee onboarding, and annual insurance and IRA renewal processes Continuously track COI for subcontractors Set up QuickBooks file for new company Work with owners on new business acquisitions, including like‐kind exchanges Full Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager (QuickBooks exp req) Qualifications 7+ years full-charge bookkeeping experience required 3+ years leadership experience required Experience in real estate, construction, or development industries required Multi-company bookkeeping experience required Proficiency with QuickBooks required #J-18808-Ljbffr
