What You’ll Do 

As our Lead Carpenter, you’ll serve as the on-site manager and skilled hands-on craftsperson responsible for bringing each project to life. You’ll oversee daily jobsite operations, perform expert carpentry, effectively communicate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure every detail reflects our high standards of quality, cleanliness, and professionalism. 


Key Responsibilities 


Carpentry & Craftsmanship 

  • Perform all phases of rough and finish carpentry with expert precision 
  • Read, interpret, and follow plans, specifications, and change orders 
  • Complete punch lists and warranty items to ensure quality standards are met 


Leadership & Jobsite Management 

  • Serve as the on-site point person for jobsite operations, safety, and cleanliness 
  • Supervise and support carpenters, helpers, and subcontractors as needed 
  • Maintain a positive, professional environment for the team and clients 
  • Protect client property and ensure proper dust-control, security, and safety practices 


Project Coordination 

  • Participate in pre-construction walkthroughs and final punch-list processes 
  • Order materials accurately and proactively; check deliveries for correctness 
  • Schedule inspections and assist with inspector needs on-site 
  • Track progress and help keep projects on schedule 


Documentation & Communication 

  • Maintain accurate jobsite paperwork and daily logs in CoConstruct 
  • Communicate updates, questions, and issues clearly to team, subs, and clients 
  • Collect and submit warranty information and other project documentation 


Tools, Safety & Standards 

  • Maintain personal and company tools in good condition 
  • Follow all safety standards, including PPE, fire extinguishers, and first aid 
  • Ensure that jobsite equipment and materials are used safely and responsibly 


What We’re Looking For 

  • Strong hands-on carpentry skills across all phases of remodeling (framing, finish, trim, cabinetry, etc.) 
  • Practical knowledge of construction sites, tools, and materials 
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow plans and specifications 
  • Experience leading a crew or supervising helpers/subcontractors is a plus, but not required 
  • Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude 
  • Physical ability to lift 75+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in crawl spaces 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable work vehicle 
  • Comfortable using technology for project management; CoConstruct experience is a plus
