Job description

Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper. This position supports the front office, accounting, and project management teams, with opportunities to develop additional skills and grow with the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, data entry, and filing.

  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

  • Prepare certified payroll reports and supporting documentation.

  • Maintain vehicle and driver compliance, including registrations, inspections, insurance, and permits.

  • Assist with union benefits, dues, contributions, and required reporting.

  • Maintain employee financial, compliance, and union records.

  • Answer and route telephone calls and assist front-office visitors.

  • Support accounting and administrative staff during absences and busy periods.

Qualifications

  • Previous bookkeeping or administrative experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic accounting software preferred.
