Job description

Allie Blair Bookkeeping & Business Consulting is looking for an Experienced Bookkeeper to join our team.

The perfect candidate :

Someone who enjoys bookkeeping, who notices when something looks weird and investigates it instead of just clicking “add.” Someone who can develop and follow processes, meet deadlines, communicate when they need help and cares about getting things right.

Someone who is teachable, dependable, detail-oriented and comfortable saying, “I’m not sure about this, can we look at it together?” instead of guessing.

This role will include things like:

• Monthly bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online

• Bank + credit card reconciliations

• Transaction categorization and review

• Reviewing financials for things that just don’t look right

• Cleaning up and maintaining client books

• Following our internal workflows + deadlines

• Occasional client communication

• Supporting a really great group of small business owners

QuickBooks Online experience is required.

Accounting/bookkeeping experience is preferred, but I care just as much about how you THINK, how you communicate, and whether I can trust you to take ownership of your work.

We’re a small business serving other small businesses, which means we care a lot about our clients and a lot about each other.

This is an in person role, our office is located in Somers, CT.
