Activities Director – Full Time
Mayflower
Pay Rate: $25/hour

Mayflower is looking for a creative, energetic, and compassionate Activities Director to join our team full time. The Activities Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading meaningful recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for our residents.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors, brings positive energy to the workplace, and is passionate about improving the daily lives of residents.

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and lead daily activities for residents based on their interests, abilities, and needs.

Create a monthly activities calendar with a variety of programs, including social events, games, music, arts and crafts, exercise, holiday events, and special celebrations.

Encourage resident participation and help create a warm, engaging, and welcoming environment.

Work closely with residents, families, and staff to understand individual preferences and activity goals.

Coordinate group activities, one-on-one visits, and special events.

Maintain activity documentation and participation records as required.

Assist with decorating the facility for holidays, events, and seasonal themes.

Support residents’ emotional, social, and recreational well-being.

Requirements:

Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior care, healthcare, or a similar setting preferred.

Experience working in a nursing home, assisted living, rehab, or long-term care environment is a plus.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
